Inside my head…on a good day :) June 19th

On the way in the morning, walking, tromping, crashing, to find lemurs I’m always so excited.  SO excited…”I wonder what we’ll see today??!!”  It makes me push even though I am wet, hot, sore, tired, checking my hands even 10 seconds for leeches.  We need an energy bar for field biologists!  On the way back to camp, I am thinking, theoretically, hypothetically, strategizing, trying to put the pieces together.  Trying to think of ways to answer my many many many questions.  Always watching each foot placement, each tree I grab to pull up my whole self (the spiky ones are not pleasant). Picking off leeches as I go.
